The original is a coloured design drawing on paper made by Anna Maria Garthwaite 1744. The design was intended to be woven as a silk, probably with brocading of gold and silver thread, by the silk manufactories at Spitalsfiled outside London. The drawing is preserved in the collections of Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
